Sumatra
★★★★★ 4.9 · Based on 200+ reviews
Sumatra is a distinctive single-origin coffee known for its deep, earthy character, syrupy body, and long, lingering finish. Grown in the Aceh region near Takengon and produced by the Koperasi Baitul Qiradh Baburrayyan (KBQB) cooperative at elevations of 1,100–1,600 meters, this coffee benefits from rich soil and a unique microclimate that enhance its complexity and structure. The traditional Giling Basah (wet-hulling) processing method gives this Sumatra its trademark depth, highlighting dark chocolate, dried fruit, and earthy tones in a smooth, weighty cup.
Varieties such as Tim Tim, Typica, Ateng, Onan Ganjang, and Jember contribute to a layered flavour profile that balances medium acidity with a syrupy mouthfeel and a satisfying, extended aftertaste. Ideal for those who enjoy bold, non-fruity coffees, this Sumatra shines in immersion and press methods but also delivers a rich, comforting experience in drip and espresso-based drinks. With multiple grind options and sizes available, it is a strong choice for anyone looking to add a dark, complex single origin to their daily rotation.

The Full Story
A rich, full-bodied blend with notes of dark chocolate, caramel, and toasted nuts, finishing with a hint of dried fruit and a smooth, lingering aftertaste.
Sourced from the highlands of Ethiopia and the mountains of Yemen, our beans are hand-selected for their exceptional character. Every origin is chosen for its unique terroir, and every relationship with our growers is built on trust, fairness, and a shared commitment to quality.
For best results, use 15g of coffee per 250ml of water heated to 92–96°C. We recommend a pour-over or French press method — brew for 3–4 minutes and adjust grind size to taste. For espresso, use a finer grind with 18g for a double shot.
